Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:40874

Analysis of 2 sets of F2 progeny (199 and 271 animals) derived from a BALB/cAnBradleyWEH1 x C57BL/6J cross indicated the presence of quantitative trait loci (QTL) invloved with resistance to Leishmania major infection. BALB/c mice are uniformly susceptible to infection, while C57BL/6 mice are consistently resistant. One QTL, Lmr2, maps to mouse Chromosome 9 between loci D9Mit67 and D9Mit71.
