Mutation details: The intronic floxed neo cassette was excised from Cd79btm2Mnz via cre mediated recombination. The nonsense mutation at codon 184 remained, precluding the translation of 45 cytoplasmic amino acids, including those that make up the ITAM. Furthermore, the resultant protein resembles Igh-6 in that it contains only 3 charged cytoplasmic anchor amino acids.
