Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:80545
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExcision of the floxed 4.5 kb fragment (-1886 to +2714, numbering based reference J:80886) encompassing exon 3 and portions of introns 2 and 3 was achieved via in vivo cre mediated recombination. Though the endogenous promoter was left intact, truncated transcript was undetected by Northern blot analysis. Western blot analysis of ileum and distal colon tissue further indicated a complete disruption of expression. (J:80545)
