Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:77282
Parent Cell Line:  WW6 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  STOCK 129/Sv and C57BL/6J and SJL
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe coding region of exon 1 was replaced with a cassette containing sequence encoding enhanced GFP (EGFP) followed by neo. Normal protein was undetected by Western blot analysis of brain and platelet samples obtained from homozygous mutant mice. EGFP transcript was present in brain tissue and fluorescence was detected in platelets and megakaryocytes. (J:77282)
