Mutation details: An ENU-induced mutation that was generated at the Pasteur Institute in 1996. The molecular lesion is an insertion of the dinucleotide AG preceding the first codon in exon 3. This insertion results in a change of the acceptor splice site, leading to a frameshift mutation resulting in a premature stop codon.
