• Mutation details: Sequence encoding cre recombinase was adjoined to 5.8 kb of the peripherin 1 promoter region. In addition, a polyadenylation signal and peripherin 1 genomic sequence encompassing a portion of exon 1 through a portion of exon 3 was included downstream of cre. Transgenic expression was demonstrated in the dorsal root and trigeminal ganglia, the olfactory epithelium, and brainstem nuclei at E13. (J:80936)
