Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of a 4.5 kb region of the gene containing a 5' non-coding exon and the first 4 exons encoding amino acids 1-333. Absence of gene expression was confirmed by Western blot analysis of lung and spleen mRNA from homozygous mutant animals. Multiple antibodies directed against N-terminal, central, and C-terminal residues did not detect any protein product. (J:81007)

Notes
The authors report the 129SvJ GS embryonic stem cell line (Genome Systems, Inc., St.Louis, MO) was used for gene targeting.
