description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence, Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsDeletion of all Myf5 coding sequences and replacement with an IRES-Fgf6 cDNA followed by a stop codon. A lox-P flanked neomycin cassette was also inserted downstream of FGF cDNA insertion site, but was removed via Cre-mediated recombination in ES cells prior to the generation of chimeric founder mice. This allele expresses an FGF6 transcript under the control of the Myf5 promoter. (J:63517)
