Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:81447
Parent Cell Line:  AB2.2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S7/SvEvBrd-Hprt1b-m2
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of exon 1 and part of intron 1 with a PGK-HPRT cassette via homologous recombination. Absence of normal transcripts was confirmed by Northern blot analysis of ovary mRNA from homozygous mutant animals using the full cDNA as a probe. Longer exposure of the Northern blot revealed a smaller transcript of unknown relevance. (J:81447)
