Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by insertion of a puromycin resistance cassette in opposite orientation into the coding sequence via homologous recombination. The construct was injected into ES cells already carrying mutations in Sele and Selp. Clones where the targeting vector inserted in trans to the Sele and Selp mutations were used to produce single Sell mutant mice. Absence of gene expression was confirmed by flow cytometric analysis of leukocytes from homozygous mutant animals. (J:70682)
