origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:83954
Parent Cell Line:  WW6 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  STOCK 129/Sv and C57BL/6J and SJL
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe coding region of the gene was replaced with a PGK-puromycin resistance cassette in WEC9.6 cells in which both Hist1h1c and Hist1he had already been modified. DNA from E7.5 embryos was examined PCR to confirm correct homologous recombination. Reverse phase HPLC of extracts from E10.5 embryos proved that no gene products were present. (J:83954)
