• Allele Type: Targeted (Null/knockout)
• Mutations: Insertion, Intragenic deletion
• Mutation details: Exon 1 was replaced with a PGK-HPRT cassette. This deletes the transcription start site used by three isoforms of this gene. Northern blot analysis indicated that mRNA for these isoforms was not present. mRNA for a fourth isoform which uses a different transcription start site was detectable however. These results were confirmed by RT-PCR. (J:84383)
