Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector

Mutation detailsThe mutation in the goku mouse was revealed to be an insertion of a gene trap vector in the Psa gene. Sequencing analysis demonstrated that the fusion site between the Pas gene and the gene trap vector is between nucleotide 526 and 527 of the corresponding mRNA. A reporter lacZ gene contained in the gene trap vector is expressed under the control of the endogenous promoter. (J:56814)
