Mutation details: A 3' portion of exon 5 and all of exon 6 were deleted by the incorporation of a targeting vector. The deleted region included sequence encoding the ITAM domain. While protein was undetected by immunoprecipitation, it was detected in homozygous mutant mice by SDS-PAGE, putatively because the anti-Cd3g serum recognizes epitopes present in the deleted region.
