description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence, Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Egfrtm2(EGFR)Wag expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsFloxed human cDNA encoding EGFR was inserted at the endogenous locus via homologous recombination. A RSV-neo cassette was inserted downstream of the human sequence. While endogenous levels of the human transcript were detected in brain tissue by RNAse protection, hypomorphic expression was observed in bone and epithelial tissue, putatively due to an effect of the downstream neo cassette.
