Mutation detailsA hypomorphic allele was generated by deleting the early enhancer (EE) via homologous and cre-mediated recombination. The EE is a 200 bp region approximately 3 kb upstream of the Hoxc8 coding region and contains several putative transcription factor binding sites. This allele differs from Rr142tm1Rud in that the floxed neo cassette was excised prior to germline transmission, leaving a single loxP site in place of the deleted region. (J:85471)
