In both (ABL/Le x C57BL/6J)F2 and (ABL/Le x C57BL/6ByJ)F2 mice a significant association of beta-carboline-induced seizures, Bis3, with the mouse Chromosome 9 locus Bmp5^se (short ears) was observed. Using non-parametric chi-square analysis, test scoresof 60.1 and 5.20 were reported for (ABL/Le x C57BL/6J)F2 and (ABL/Le x C57BL/6ByJ)F2 crosses respectively.
