• Mutation details: A human GLI3 cDNA and a downstream loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette were inserted in the first coding exon of the endogenous Gli2 locus. The inserted cDNA was flanked with an upstream FLAG epitope and a downstream mouse Gli2 3' UTR and three tandem repeats of a SV40 polyA signal. The level of GLI3 expression from this allele was reported to be less than that of the derivative allele, Gli2^{tm5.1(GLI3)Alj}, from which the floxed neo cassette was removed. (J:87948)
