The authors indicated that in the BALB/c-nct/nct x BALB/c-nct/nct x MSM backcross there were two loci that modified the expression of Chromosome 16 marker nct. One modifier (Nctm1) mapped between D3Mit41 and D3Mit12, while the other (Nctm2) mapped with D10Mit151, with chi-squares of 13.1 and 8.3 respectively.
