Notes |
Homozygosity for A/J-derived alleles at Odsm1 appears to inhibit sex reversal.
Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:82118F2 mice from a fertile (AXFVB) F1 XX Ods/F1 female mated to (AXFVB) F1 XY Ods/F1 male were informative in identifying a region of mouse Chromosome 18 that modifies Ods expression. The locus representing this region is identified as Odsm1 and is within aregion defined by markers D18Mit189 and D18Mit210. Authors suggest Madh2 , Madh4 and Madh7 as potential candidates for Odsm1. Homozygosity for FVB/N-derived alleles at Odsm1 appears to favor sex reversal whereas homozygosity for A/J-derived alleles appears to inhibit sex reversal. |
