Notes |
Sluc22 participates in additive interactions with other Sluc loci.
Animals homozygous for B10.O20/Dem-derived alleles at Sluc12 and homozygous for O20/A-derived alleles at Sluc22 exhibit decreased lung tumor size. Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:71973Several F2 crosses between inbred strain O20/A and recombinant congenic strains OcB-3/Dem, OcB-4/Dem, OcB-6/Dem, OcB-9/Dem, and OcB-16/Dem were used to map QTLs linked to lung tumor susceptibility. Parental strain O20/A and OcB-4/Dem are susceptible to lung tumor development after ENU treatment whereas parental strains OcB-3/Dem, OcB-6/Dem, OcB-9/Dem, and OcB-16/Dem are relatively resistant. 14 previously identified lung tumor susceptibility loci were detected in these crosses (Sluc1-Sluc14) and 16 new loci were identified with a statistical significance of P>0.05. All of the QTL were detected in pairwise interactions, Table 1, Fig 1. In the (OcB16 x O20/A)F2 cross a newly identified QTL Sluc22 mapped to Chr 10 in linkage with D10Mit122 at approximately 61.0cM.In the (OcB4 x O20/A) F2 cross newly identified QTL Sluc29 mapped to mouse Chr 10 in linkage with D10Mit28 at approximately 4 cM. |
