description
Allele Type:    Targeted
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsTo conditionally express the Epstein-Barr virus protein, LMP2A, from either the endogenous weak DQ52 promoter or an inserted strong Igh-V 186.2 promoter, sequence encoding LMP2A was inserted downstream of a loxP-flanked stop cassette. Floxed Igh-V 186.2 promoter sequence was included in the targeting vector between the DQ52 promoter and the floxed stop cassette (which contained frt-flanked neo followed by stop codons). Germline excision of the floxed Igh-V promoter and the stop cassette led to the production of Ightm5.1Cgn. (J:88472)
