Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:89907
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Hypomorph, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA cassette containing IRES-lacZ and neo was inserted immediately downstream of the stop codon in exon 2. While undetectable by Northern blot analysis, transcript was identified by RT-PCR analysis indicating the amount of message in homozygous mutant mice to be severely reduced relative to that of wild-type. The inserted lacZ gene was expressed. (J:89907)
