Notes
In the homozygous state, this mutation causes a phenotype similar to that of ct, curly tail; both show low penetrance and map to approximately the same region of Chr 4. A complementation test between mice homozygous for ct and for ctl yielded no affected mice among 56 progeny, but because of the low penetrance of the phenotype, this does not rule out their being allelic.
