Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:91091
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsLoxP sites were inserted upstream of exons 2 and 4, surrounding the extracellular membrane and transmemebrane encoding sequences. Transient cre expression excised a floxed neo upstream of exon 2. Southern blot confirmed recombination and excision of the neo. Flow cytometry of bone marrow, blood, peritoneal and splenic B cells in homozygous mice indicated gene expression levels were normal. (J:91091)
