Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Modified isoform(s))
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn exon containing coding sequence specific to the A isoform was deleted by replacement with a loxP-flanked neomycin cassette, followed by cre-mediated recombination in ES cells. This resulted in a single loxP site in place of the exon, and led to the exclusive expression of the B isoform in all tissues where the A isoform was normally expressed. (J:50235)
