Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:91405
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S1/SvImJ
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn eGFP and floxed neo were inserted in frame into exon 1, deleting most of exon 1 and all of exon 2, thereby removing about 80% of the open reading frame, including the homeodomain. The floxed neo was excised by crossing mice with mice expressing cre in the germ line. PCR confirmed recombination in mutant mice. (J:91405)
