Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:92470
Parent Cell Line:  CCE/EK.CCE (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S/SvEv-Gpi1c
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to delete 15 nucleotides in exon 6 encoding amino acids 202-206. Southern blot and PCR confirmed recombination. Flow cytometry of peritoneal cells indicated that the mutation abolished receptor shedding. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed selection cassette. (J:92470)
