Notes
Males and females are infertile: very low testis weight, no epididymal sperm are recovered; in females, no oocytes are recovered. Histological analysis shows arrest of spermatogenesis predominantly at pachytene stage of meiotic prophase or meiotic division stage, some germ cells appear apoptotic. Ovaries are tiny with no growing oocytes or follicles.
