Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Not Applicable)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA tet casette, containing tTA protein coding sequence, floxed neo coding sequence and tet operator/CMV promoter, was inserted into the 5' UTR of the SK3 gene 42 nt 5' of the initiator MET. Administration of doxycycline to homozygous tet anmials results in knockout of SK3 expression. In the absence of tet or dox, SK3 protein is overexpressed 3-5 fold over WT. (J:95064)
