Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Hypomorph, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: pGT0Lxf     Vector Type: gene trap

Mutation detailsA genetrap vector containing a beta-gal reporter and a neomycin selection cassette inserted into intron 3 of the gene locus, 2.6 kb downstream of the exon 3. Western analysis on homozygous embryonic fibroblasts indicated protein expression was at 0.8% of the level in wild-type embryonic fibroblasts. Beta gal expression was detected in numerous tissues of homozygotes including cartilage, skeletal muscle, bronchiolar epithelium, and placenta. (J:130238)

Notes
All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
