Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExon 4 and much of intron 3 were replaced via homologous recombination with a construct composed of an frt flanked neomycin resistance cassette, a floxed exon 4, and a segment of intron 4 equivalent to the region of the endogenous intron being replaced. Mice carrying this targeted allele were crossed to transgenic mice carrying Flp recombinase under the control of a beta-actin promoter. This results in excision of the neomycin cassette and leaves a floxed exon 4. (J:99731)
