Notes |
Animals heterozygous at both Ltsd1 and Ltsd5 exhibit increased incidence of non-sperical tumors.
Animals homozygous for O20/A-derived alleles at both Ltsd1 and Ltsd7 exhibit increased incidence of non-sperical tumors. Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:81057F2 intercrosses were constructed between parental strain O20 and each of the following OcB strains: OcB-3/Dem, OcB-4/Dem, OcB-6/Dem, OcB-9/Dem, and OcB-16/Dem. Loci associated with lung tumor shape were mapped using these intercross animals. Eight loci were identified in total and were named Ltsd1-8. Ltsd1 mapped to 20 cM on mouse Chromosome 18, Ltsd2 mapped to 41 cM on mouse Chromosome 2, Ltsd3 mapped to 10 cM on mouse Chromosome 8, Ltsd4 mapped to 67 cM on mouse Chromosome 4, Ltsd5 mapped to 37 cM on mouse Chromosome 7, Ltsd6 mapped to 50 cM on mouse Chromosome 19, Ltsd7 mapped to 4 cM on mouse Chromosome 16, and Ltsd8 mapped to 61.2 cM on mouse Chromosome 6. All loci exhibit 2-way interactions. |
