Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:100209
Parent Cell Line:  TT2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsMost of the putative exon 1 containing the first ATG was deleted upon the insertion of an EGFP with a loxP-flanked PGK-neo in reverse orientation. Northern blot and RT-PCR confirmed lack of transcript in mutant liver samples. Absence of protein was demonstrated by Western blot of mutant liver, white adipose tissue and kidney. (J:100209)
