The authors were attempting to fine map regions of mouse chromosomes that exhibited allelic loss in gamma ray-induced-lymphomas in (BALB/c x MSM)F1 x MSM or (BALB/c c MSM)F1 x BALB/c backcross mice. A region of mouse Chromosome 12 within 3 cM of D12Mit279 (53 cM) showed a high frequency of allelic loss. This region is given the symbol Tlsr6. (The authors identified this region as TLSR12a).
