description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to insert the enhanced green fluorescent protein sequence and PGK-neo into exon 2 in frame, resulting in the deletion of the second through fifth transmembrane domains. Both full-length and splice variant forms of the transcript were abolished, as demonstrated by RT-PCR analysis. Expression of EGFP was demonstrated in primary osteoclasts of adult tibia. (J:100555)
