Mutation details: A targeting construct was designed to introduce Y596E/Y602E mutations. Expression levels found in mutants were similar to that of wild-type animals, however, the protein displayed somewhat slower mobility in SDS-PAGE, possibly due to the additional negative charge from the two glutamic acids.
