Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Hypomorph)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA GFP-loxP-pMC1neo-loxP cassette was inserted in front of the ATG in exon 2. The neo is in antisense orientation. Northern blot demonstrated the lack of mRNA in brain, heart, skeletal muscle, MEFs and testis; however, transcript was detected in lung and embryonic extracts, indicating the allele is a hypomorph. The testis specific isoform was not affected by the targeting event, and was expressed in mutants. (J:102107)
