Notes |
Homozygosity for SL/Kh-derived alleles at both Msmr1 and Msmr2 is associated with high incidence of acute pre-B lymphoma.
Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:34941All the chromosomes of progeny from a (MSM/Ms x SL/Kh)F1 x SL/Kh backcross were scanned for linkage of lymphoma susceptibility with 79 polymorphic microsatellite loci spaced 15 cM - 30 cM apart. Authors found a significant linkage disequilibrium in the proximal segment of mouse Chromosome 18, between D18Mit90 (28 cM) and D18Mit140 (37 cM) These data map Msmr2 between D18Mit90 and D18Mit140 on mouse Chromosome 18. The MSM/Ms-derived allele at Msmr2 is associated with dominant lymphoma resistance whereas the SL/Kh-derived allele is associated with susceptibility. |
