Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:12046

Strain distribution pattern analysis of 12 BXD (B=C57BL/6J; D=DBA/2J) recombinant inbred (RI) strains showed linkage of susceptibility/resistance to infection with Leishmania mexicana to mouse Chromosome 4 near marker Xmmv8 (17.2 cM), Lyb4 (24.8 cM), Mup1 (27.8 cM), and Cd72 (22.5 cM). Parental strain C57BL/6J is susceptible to L. mexicana infection compared to parental strain DBA/2J. C57BL/J-derived alleles at Scl2 appear to be associated with susceptibility to L. mexicana infection.
