Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:52948Authors analyzed the AKXL (AKR/J x C57L/J) recombinant inbred strain distribution patterns and localized Carg1 to mouse Chromosome 14 within a 17 cM segment containing Tcra (19.5 cM) and Rnase1 (18.5 cM). The parental strain AKR/J exhibits greater susceptibility to infection by the yeast Candida albicans compared to parental strain C57L/J. J:39424The strain distribution patterns (SDPs) in 15 AKXL (AKR/J x C57L/J) RI strains suggest that at least two gene families facilitate the tissue damage caused by systemic infection of Candida albicans. One of these genes has been designated as Carg1. Carg1 has since been assigned to Chromosome 14. (J:52948, Ashman RB, Microb Pathog 1998 Dec;25(6):333-5) The parental strain AKR/J exhibits greater susceptibility to infection by C. albicans compared to parental strain C57L/J. |
