description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA lacZ-neo and a copy of exon IV were inserted downstream of exon IV upon homologous recombination originally intended to replace exon III with the lacZ-neo. Exon 3 encodes the transmembrane domain. X-gal staining revealed the expression of lacZ in a variety of tissues and organs during embryonic development, and was especially strong in connective tissues surrounding developing skeletons.
