Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis allele was created by using one of two vectors. The first vector was designed to insert a beta-lactamase cassette, a stop codon and a neomycin resistance gene in frame with the first ten codons. The second vector was designed to remove most of the coding sequence in the first exon and replace it with a beta-lactamase and neomycin resistance cassette. Western blot failed to detect protein in mutant ES cells. (J:63054)
