description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA point mutation was introduced into the alpha4 integrin tail to inhibit paxillin protein binding with little detectable effect on the binding of other proteins. The Y991A mutation was engineered into exon 28. A floxed TK/neomycin slection cassette was inserted upstream of exon 28 and and additional loxP site was inserted downstream. Cre recombinase was used to remove selectable cassettes from the vector leaving the mutated exon 28 floxed. (J:106471)
