Notes |
X-gal staining of brains of doubly transgenic mice expressing the tetracycline transactivator gene (tTA) under control of the Camk2a promoter demonstrated expression of beta-galactosidase specifically in the striatum, cortex and hippocampus, where CAMK2 normally is expressed. This expression is suppressed by doxycycline administration. (J:90075)
Of two lines (#1 and #14) that expressed and transmitted the transgene, the phenotype in mice also bearing a transgene for a tetracycline transactivator has been characterized only for line 14. |
