Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Ckm-LPL)LRze expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of an LPL minigene containing the full-length human LPL cDNA including the 5' untranslated sequence, the complete coding region, the 3' untranslated sequence, and 339 bp of 3' flanking region under the control of the mouse muscle creatine kinase promoter. This line integrated an estimated number of 3 copies per genome and is the low expression line. Human LPL is expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscle but not other tissues and there is a 5.5-fold increase in heparin releasable LPL activity in skeletal muscle. (J:101818)
