Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe 3'end of exon 3 and part of intron 3 was replaced with a loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette. A splice acceptor (SA) and polyadenylation signal (PA) were also placed at the 3' end of the cassette to minimize the possibility of producing aberrant transcripts that skip exon 3. Immunoblotting assays on mutant male ES cells (-/Y) demonstrated that no full length protein was expressed from this allele. (J:52936)
