description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic
Mutation:    Viral insertion

Mutation detailsJ1 ES cells were infected with mp10 virus carrying a neomycin resistance gene. After selection, resistant ES cell colonies were analyzed for the presence of single-copy proviral DNA. A mouse line established from one of these cell lines was shown to have an insertion in exon 1 of the Cnbp gene. Northern blots demonstrate that transcript levels are significantly reduced in heterozygous embryos and absent in homozygotes. (J:81582)
