Insertion of gene trap vector
Vector: pGT1Lxf
Vector Type: gene trap
Mutation details: A Beta-geo gene trap vector, pGT1Lxf, was inserted into intron 13 of the locus. The first 285 amino acids were fused to the Beta-galactosidase-neomycin protein. This allele retains most of the proline-rich stretch as it loses only the C-terminal 103 residues. Western blots demonstrate expression of chimeric protein composed of the endogenous N-terminal polypeptide fused to Beta-geo.

All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
