• Mutation details: This transgene consists of the full coding sequence of the mouse Abcc9 (Sur2a) gene under the control of the human cytomegalovirus immediate-early (CMV) promoter. RT-PCR and Western blot analysis confirmed an increase in mRNA and protein levels, respectively, resulting in an increased number of sarcolemmal K_ATP channels but not affecting the expression of any other K_ATP channel pore-forming proteins.
